No seriously ask yourself the question and put the answer at the bottom. Because if you have had anything to do with any forms of piracy then your just as much a criminal as the one who made it available.
I believe that everybody with internet access has used or downloaded pirated movies, music, games ect. and really, what can they do to stop it? remove and or block every pirating/torrent website on the internet? yeah, good luck.
I pirate some music and if i enjoy the music I will go out and buy their CD, merch or music videos but if I don't like their music I just won't listen to them. Also some artists don't sell CD versions of their music as they are just starting out. A perfect example of this is Dat Beat.
People who are pirating are destroying the multimedia industry because every time a music or a video is downloaded it means that one less cd or dvd is legally bought. This will eventually pull in more people and less things will be made.
Mmm just like I posted on another blog, pretty soon the top selling artists aren't going to bother putting out any more music because (in theory), only 1 CD could sell and the rest could be pirated. That isn't going to pay the bills! However there are some top selling 'celebrities' that I would like to see become less paid, ho ho!
